Love and kindness, can we all just practice it

A simple gesture goes a long way, even when it seems unfit

From Portland to D.C. all I see is shock and awe

I want to change the world so listen to me raw

Pathetic protests and senseless shootings have become the norm

Disgraceful decision and backwards thinking, can't continue to form

Killing cops or shooting a minority, it's all one in the same

I'm not here pointing fingers, we are all here to blame

Two wrongs don't make a right, let's keep that in sight

Love is the word missing from this plight

From Crutcher to Castile, Marconi and more

How many tears needs to me shed, just to hear the country roar

Attention seekers spreading hate go away

Racially charged videos like the k-k should not play

It's our job as Americans to keep this out of the news

I'm sick and tired of seeing all these hateful views

I was taught the golden rule at a very young age

Let's stop passing judgement and start turning a new page

Life is too beautiful so time to smell the roses

Let's look at life with a positive attitude, and see what discloses

A challenge to all my friends who have read this and shared

Can we stop spreading hateful news like we are impaired

From now until the new year can you spread love not hate

Then just watch what a beautiful world that we can create
