The speed of darkness. Innocence of the child taken and will never remain

One frozen moment in time, how incredibly clear and vivid

Shocked, confused and lost, but wait let me pivot

36 hours before, a soldiers lore turned to nightmare on the battle floor

As they crept in from all sides, fight or flight turned to fight against this marine corps

Outnumbered four to one, it was Mother Earth that took its turn

Sandstorm swept the visibility, but help is all they yearned

Taking fire in the blind, this dust blows and winds

Like a smoke cloud in slo-mo...

Fire watch in and out of the trench, until that mo-mo

An explosion and loud ringing in the ear, but this nightmare has a darker peer

Time to get to work, count the boots and check on backup

One man short. Fuck! Now I got to go back up

Across the city under siege, one angel lay and another a ray!

Pulled him from the ashes, as they tripped and fell

Took a look down, and that was the final bell
